The Fourth Rail, which sponsored embedded journalist Daveed Gartenstein-Ross, who was with the 2-32 in June, has several other reporters in-country right now.
Joe Talley is following the 2-17 Field Artillery, who are based out of Camp Loyalty, securing a district in Eastern Baghdad. His latest report: Conducting the Surge, One Raid At A Time, gives a good picture of how troops have been operating all over the city, and what our guys are up to when they say they've been out 'just catching some bad guys'.
